Photoshoot.

2013,here you are, and here we are.We had half an hour of outdoor experience just as the rain ended and the water seeped deep into the soil blossoming to muddy ground. But even so, we had fun.

image

Looking forward for great moments and learning experiences this year.

image

image

It is a good thing that there is something in you that would always remind you to keep your feet on the ground. :)

image

imageOk, now I am lazeeeey to post all the other photos. Haha

‘Til next time,guys. ;D

For the love of water.

L’amour de l’eau! Water,Mi favorito!

image

I admit, among the four elements, Water is my favorite. I almost feel giddy whenever a beach escapade is near within my sight. I don’t mind my skin being burned by the scorching rays of the sun nor the sand’s heat my bare-feet will tread on as long as there is the scent of water. My love for water is synonymous to my fondness to the evergreen forest.

image

What if water would be gone now and forever? Would we still exist? For a day, maybe yes. but for a month or a year, you’d agree with me that we can’t. Even so, I am saddened by the fact that some people nowadays don’t value water than they value life. Water pollution, Water Wasting, and Excessive water consumption is not a good picture to cast your eyes with. It is so heart-wrenching that some children in far-away countries don’t even have a bucket of clean water to use or drink, and with that, I say, that we should learn to value water. We should learn to use it wisely. Maybe spending a 5 minute less than we usually do in the shower would help, or never leaving the faucet open after using…or maybe even donate water or by any means to those children who lack water for their body requirements the sooner we can.

image

Water is life. Water is for all to use and enjoy. But definitely, not for us to abuse.

image

image

Let’s spread the water-love to people in need. Let’s help others in whatever way we can. :)

And behold, another beach escapade!

I know, I know, this is a vvvery late post. But it’s annoying that I have many tiny adventures last summer, yet have no enough quality time posting about it.

image

But, yes, it’s not too late. I had another boat ride yet again.yay!

image

Being in this peaceful haven is a simple reminder of God’s beauty in our everyday life. Life can be stressful, sometimes yes, but life is indeed beautiful with God in it.

Reblog this!

Badian 2012

I confess, this update is kind of obligatory since I just published my artblog recently and updating it also means taking my dear tumblr blog for granted. Well, I would say, “taking for granted” is a heavy word, so I would change it to “unintentional forgetting”. Justified, yes? lol

Ok, so vacation is quite tiring lately. I’ve been in trips for days now, and it seems that I have no energy in store for the rest of the summer activities anymore. But then again, God’s grace is sufficient. :)

I had a chance to visit a not-so-remote area in Albay.(cost me 5 hours of road trip from the city) But t’was a  memorable experience AGAIN. and here are the reasons why:

The place.

image

image

The beach was just so calm and dreamy that it gives me the idea of making it my perfect silent escape destination (minus the loooong hours of dusty road travel)whenever I feel like drowning in the city-life mud hole. :)

image

image

And yes, believe it or not, we played basketball for a little while during a non-stressful early morning. :)

image

image

I could fall from the sky here. ;)

image

Then, of course, swimming during the night. <3

image

image

and perfect sunsets. Sigh.

The food.

image

Exotic, yes? Boiled Cock-eyed seashells with Moringa Oleifera.

image

The residents are fond with dried fish which is also a major part of their livelihood.

image

and of course, The children.

image

Had a great time talking to them and telling them stories from the Bible. Ahhh, their smiles! Rare, isn’t it?

image

image

image

image

Their warm sincere smiles and friendliness melted my heart… and yes, they somewhat urged me to be in a photograph with them. haha

image

And this, also. JK.

So there goes, Breaktime, I mean, tumblrtime has ended. and I’ll be back to work in a few minutes ‘cause I’m helping my mother finish her computer work. Oh, and it’s 1.30 in the morning.

Cam Sur 2012

One of my favorite places in Cam Sur (Camarines Sur, Bicol, PH) is Balogo Pasacao, Naga City. A place where I can always go to when I want fresh air, warm water, perfect sunsets and all the amenities of summer a busy-body like me can wish for. And just recently, right after our Palawan trip, we went to this place again.

image

The very thing that I’m fond of this place is the chance to have a 5-minute boat ride(which always make my heart skip a beat) to a gigantic rock-not-really-an-island beauty, named as Daruanak. This spot is really a must-go-to place whenever you plan to visit Camsur. Although, this is not really a popular one for tourists… which in turn makes it more exclusive/exotic to me. haha

image

The view from the top.(halfway,actually)

image

image

image

And how awesome is this??? That little white spot was the afternoon moon, which of course, lifted up my spirits making me dream of another world. :)

image

I had also the opportunity to bond with some dear friends who are also not afraid of the water with sea urchins in it and getting tanned by the sun.haha

image

image

image

image

Oh, bare-feet rock-climbing is possible also as long as you’re careful. Aha! another barefoot experience for me! Yay!  I know, Girls love shoes, but barefeet can sometimes be grand, don’t you think?

image

We had camping during the nights, too. We just slept in tents along the shore which is of course, one of the favorite things I want to do as often as time would allow me.

image

This was taken around 7 o’clock in the morning. The scene’s therapeutic to the mind and eyes, yes? Waves are quite rare in this beach so you could float like a feather all day.even at night too. :)

image

image

T’was a memorable experience we had while riding the boat back to the main shore as we were also graced by the gleaming rays of the sunset! I could stay there forever. :) Again, thanks to God who made these all and made this 3-day summer get-away possible. :)

Boat Ride

Reblog this!

Palawan 2012.

Hi, Tumblr darlings!

I have to say that this entry is but a tip of the iceberg of what was really experienced by the busy-and-tired,fragile being/travel-enthusiast/escaped princess that is living within me. I’ve been busy and  overwhelmed by the travel opportunities that I had and currently having… I guess, I’d be over-thinking if I feel that this post is an adverse effect of my (un)contained excitement and gratitude, yet it is. However, I would cut this adventure in pieces like a pizza so as not to flood your dashboard with what seem like an everlasting post that it would even let you think of unfollowing me. hahaha

So to start with, This is me and mother, before we leave for the aerial journey.

image

image

And I was so lost(and bored) that I was found perfecting the fish-braid hairstyle that remains to be an epic fail.

image

image

image

Majestic Mayon!!!

image

And behold,Palawan!!! :)

image

And have I mentioned that I loooove clouds too?

image

Me and the brother.

image

And this is a vain pose due to the boredom that was caused by delayed departure because of air traffic. Quite detrimental yet justifiable, yes? lol

image

And while I was busy getting a better shot of myself despite the killing boredom, the lil sister is wide asleep.haha… with her eye half-opened. and it’s worth taking the shot. She side-punched my arm when I showed her the photo.haha. Poor sister, she can’t take the boredom so she chose to get a dose of sleeping stardust instead. And me, much pathetic.or not.

By the way, I’ll let you take an inch of frustration first, for I will end this post here. But I’ll be back in a few days with the highlights of my short palawan trip and more.  Oh, and yes, I had a major splurge of the beauties of Palawan, not the white sand beaches,(lol)… but some souvenirs and the like which enables me to see a light-bulb above my head that maybe I would have a give-away to my followers and  other tumblr users. Let’s hope on that, yes? :)

Bye for now. Be back soon.

Boat Ride

Reblog this! 1 note

Fun in the Sun.

One thing I love living in the tropics is that you will always have a fair share of summer and rain. Rain is beautiful because it brings an unexplainable nostalgic feeling to us and makes us reminisce sometimes. Whereas, the sun is steady and energetic and always signals excitement and fun.

Summer days are just lurking around the corner of my excited brain and are constantly enabling me to thank God in the morning whenever sunlight would greet me a Good Morning.

As anticipated,I am ever ready to bathe under the heat of the summer sun, especially my summer is jam-packed with schedules so thrilling and exciting!Oh,how I love to travel and experience outdoor happenings. Yes, I admit,I am not really a homebody.lol

Anyways,It was my cousin’s birthday so we went back to Paguriran Island which is now a family favorite impromptu get-away. Well,I adored this place, really. I could build a cottage here and actually live here.:D

image

image

Crazy moment: Where have the crystal-clear water gone?

image

image

image

Me and the brother.

image

Test-shots taken by my cousin. She wants to learn photography, too. :)

image

image

image

And again,another bare-feet experience! Yay!

image

Oh, and we found a bird’s nest somewhere on top of the rocks. Isn’t it just adorable? Bet she’s hungry. Where is her mommy?

image

This one’s a stolen shot. But I like it,though I lost my face! haha.I feel like walking in the desert to meet Prince Dastan.lol

image

And of course, save the best for last! I <3 JL!:)))

TRIVIA: That little thingy at the back of the dead tree is an old lighthouse also known as “parola”, therefore the name of the island/beach. :) We dreamt of getting there yet we were discouraged by the people living there for fear that we may befriend snakes and other wild creatures(if any). :)

image

Now,tell me, which is better the farmer’s daughter or the fisherman’s daughter?? lol

Boat Ride.

As I was imagining myself as a pink feather that drifted away to the beautiful island of Parola, I just need to take with me the reins of reality so that I can wake up and live again. Ok, I’m again, writing rubbish. XD

Nonetheless, let me redirect you back to my island adventure I mentioned in a previous post.

I was thanking God when the soles of my feet touched the fairly white sand of the beach as I unmounted the motorboat we rented.

image

image

Funny to think that my relatives(my aunt, cousins, and grandmom) were scared to take the boat ride and were having second thoughts of joining us. But, alas, they’ve enjoyed it! Thanks to the persuasion.

image

image

We also had a not-really-a-photoshoot moment, where I was under the blazing heat of the sun taking pre-determined shots brought about by the very captivating and fascinating ambiance and sereneness of the location. Gosh, If I am a photographer, I would really go back there and do some photoshoots. But, sadly, I will talk about this in detail in a future entry. :)

image

image

image

And this is my favorite photo of them all. :) The gentle splashing of my favorite element, water.

Summer.

image

Finally, summer has come that it has overwhelmed me with the activities recently that also robbed my time from updating this blog. But here I am again, taking a break from the heart thrilling outdoor adventures I am currently having. I never expected that my first week of summer would be this exciting and of course, tiring.Hence, the ugley-face. lol

But yes, I will be sharing with you these adventures in no time, though I will be slicing the details in separate posts for the sake of evading boredom. lol

I was just reunited with my high school classmates/friends and just had an awesome homecoming. :) especially with the photobooth craziness. lol

image

image

We also enjoyed a campfire where we listened to short eye-tearing,heart-touching testimonies/messages about how God has been so faithful in our lives during the past year/s. Such a nice feeling! :)

image

And this was the moonlight that night. <3 *swooning*

image

Oh and yeah, It’s my Grandmom’s 71st birth anniversary also. :)

image

And then, we also had a boat trip to a little island in the morning, where I have to talk about the details in a separate post. Sorry if I need to keep you waiting.:(

Misadventure (3)

As I was half-obliged to post this continuation for the consumption of my dear readers, here I am again, feeling a little lazy and bored at the same time. lol

image

These are photos I took  during my misadventure I mentioned previously in a post. That rock/stone structure is a literal steeple of the Cagsawa Church covered due to volcanic deposits many years ago when the ever-so-popular natural wonder of the world, the Mayon Volcano, shed its wrath.

image image

I was a little frustrated because the perfect-cone-shape beauty was covered by clouds that day, so these pictures are the best that I got.

image

image

These are keychains (which resemble the Cagsawa steeple) that are sold just outside the entrance of the Cagsawa Ruins since this place continues to serve as one of the nation’s tourist spots. I just couldn’t resist not buying one as a souvenir. So,I end up,buying  all that they had. Ok, Kidding. :) I just bought one. heehee

image

On a different note, this is a pomelo tree priding its unripened fruits that delighted me much since ‘twas the first time I saw such tree. Yay! By the way, I found this tree with its brothers and sisters living nearby, in the PHIVOLCS compound.(Mentioned also in a previous post.)image

This is a flower (or a bouquet of little flowers) I accidently found growing as I was playing the role of the lost little princess’ in the woods.

image

Oh,and yeah, I went to the pottery factory also and was real thrilled by the sight of actual pottery making which immediately sent whispers to my brain that I am sooo going back there soon. I had a festive haul of the fragile beauties I willingly bought there. (Be posting the photos soon.) :)

 image

And since a day was only given for my consented escape slash outdoor misadventure, I am back in the ‘working’ stage of my life. Which is the norm. lol. And no, I don’t miss you, stress. Go away! Haha

Happy day everyone!

And so the rubbish travel update strives to continue…

As I was enjoying my one-day outdoor (mis)adventure, I was driven away(well, not really) by these souvenir items my eyes accidentally fixed upon.

imageNecklaces from shells, etc .

image

Earrings made from pilinuts and shells, too.

image

Then, here goes the chili eye-popping necklaces. :)

image

And chili keychains which will always remind the owner that he/she is hot! Lol Absolutely, a must have! :)

image

And these are tiny animals made from shells. How creative is that?

I have some of these too which I use as paperweights. :)

image

Various bags in various sizes and designs. And various prices, of course.lol

imageThen, tons of many native, supah creative products. From lanterns to wall decors, bags, purses and baskets and many more. Ahhh, I always have that swooning factor whenever I see myself buying all these (native)stuff… Which I don’t, ‘cause I don’t buy my stuff…I have sponsors. Jk.lols

image

And this was a paparazzi shot! lol

(Part 3 will be posted the soonest.) :)

Misadventure (1)

Just recently, the silent princess within me dreamt of having a solo-summer-outdoor-get-away from all the stressors of life. Thankfully, my city-life nostrils were given the chance to breathe the air of woodland adventure just this month. My feet brought me to THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED.

image

I struggled with the walking since the road was muddy and I pain-mistakenly got some awkward photographic moments.hihihi

image

And so the tired feet unrelentingly treaded the silent mud-covered road which turned-out leading to PHIVOLCS, an observatory that monitors earthquakes and volcanoes and the like…which in turn of course, delighted the dormant volcanologist in me, like an electrified sleeping light bulb! (In high school, my favorite field of study in science is Volcanology. I can literally be neighbors with active volcanoes, and oh the thrill it is to see lava spewing from its natural outlet, making the world wonder about its destination and where it came from. Not to mention the sad and bad side effects of volcanic eruption, of course. If I can, by all means, undo that! )

Anyway, going back to the topic, (Sorry for misleading you guys.:))I continued the journey, not neglecting to appreciate the beauty of the environment which is carefully adored by trees and green plants, not forgetting to thank its Creator, who is worthy of the highest adoration. Every gasp of air enabled me to feel that “making each minute memorable enough” and breathe with the thought of “Being alive is synonymous to being blessed.” My eyes also smiled with the breeze when I recalled an article I read that walking in the woods at least once a month makes one healthy. :) So I walked on… ‘Til I found you. lol

image

And since the woods was such a surreal place for a long-kept-in-a-dungeon-but-now- escaped princess that I am, I accepted the invitation of leaving the road half-way and experience the allure of the forest softly creeping into my not-bare feet. And so the half-trained mori girl I was, I took the chance of getting lost in the calm forest imbibing the silent dreamer’s song in my senses. I imagined my hand-made tent next to a wishing well with sparkling water and a hectare of dancing daffodils and singing sunflowers. Then, during afternoons, the spider-weaved carousel will fly me to a meadow nearby where I would watch the hippos smile and the tigers stroke their thick fur while I breath of the sweet breeze  that would remind me of having a ride in a magic carpet.

image

image

But, thanks to reality, the fantasy stopped. I saw paparazzi following me, so I stopped and looked back…(Kiddin!lol) And of course, I went back to the not-so adventure that I was in.

I’ll be talking about this “misadventure” in another entry, since, I guess, this worthless rant is bombarding your good kind senses due to my excessive rubbish inputs. lol

Holiday.

I spent the holiday by visiting our family relatives residing miles away from the city. They own this paradise, not yet a beach resort, which is, I may say, a perfect place for a silent dreamy get-away.

We arrived at the place early, around 5:30 am,and enjoyed the fresh air, the cascading gentle waves and the caress of the virgin sand. Yes, the place is worth the barefoot experience.:)

We sensed an impromptu not-really-a-photoshoot-but-please-use-the-camera-ASAP moment, since the lighting and background/scenes were already laid out in a natural captivating way.

We really need to be in a hiatus, sometimes. A break from the fast-paced city life. And it’s good to know that we still have these silent serene places to spend our holidays,get-away,escapades and whatever you may call it.:)

And I bring back all the glory to God who created such a beautiful place.

AHHH, And I will be right back swooning for the same reason. :)))
